He is a very smart man. He is wise beyond his years and protective of his younger siblings. He is especially close to his sister Kya (14). (Kya is the girl is the picture) Lu Ten is a very skilled fire bender.
Kya(14)
She is very outgoing and often careless of what she does. She gets into trouble a lot but that doesn't stop her from having fun. She is a water bender, like her mother. She looks up to her older brother, Lu Ten, but often gets jealous of him because he is such a highly skilled bender. She also gets jealous because he is next in line to be the fire lord. She loves him beyond all reason, but sometimes those feelings push her to say harsh things.
Koda (12)
Koda is very much like young Zuko. He is a mix between his brother, Lu Ten, who is serious and hard working, and his sister, Kya, who is fun and carefree.
Ursa(10)
Ursa and Koda have a very competitive relationship, much like Azula and Zuko. Koda resembles Zuko a lot and Ursa to Azula. Zuko and Katara worry a bit about their youngest daughter, but she seems much more sane than Azula. But still, they have to wonder if there's some genetic disorder due to how manipulative the young girl is. She resembles Azula physically very much and quite a bit in the personality.
The kids relationships to one another:
Lu Ten and Kya-
Lu Ten is extremely protective of his younger sister, Kya. Kya is very competitive with Lu Ten as he easily grasps the concepts of bending. He is a fire bender who is very skilled and is also next in line to be fire lord. Kya, who thinks she is a great leader, wishes she would have the chance to be fire lord and thinks it is unfair that it automatically goes to Lu Ten. Even though she is a water bender, she grew up as a fire nation princess and thinks it would only be fair that all the kids got a shot at being the next fire lord. Kya also gets jealous because it seems to her that Koda and Ursa favor Lu Ten. Lu Ten is very close to Kya and confides in her all the time, as she does to him.
Lu Ten and Koda-
Koda looks up to his brother and wishes to be just like him. He has high respect for him and thinks of him as a second father, trusting him and admiring him greatly. Lu Ten is very kind to his brother and thinks of him as a friend.
Lu Ten and Ursa-
Ursa is especially nice to Lu Ten because she knows he's going to be the next fire lord and hopes that if he chooses not to take the role that he will give it to her because he thinks she's a kind person, although that probably wouldn't be the case. She always compliments him on how smart he is and how great of a fire bender he is. She is also a fire bender who is very, very skilled for her young age.
Kya and Koda-
Koda thinks of his sister as the fun one. He loves her sense of humor and her cheerful attitude and goes to her when he's depressed or angry. Though they love each other very much, there's always a constant competition because they are the two water benders. Kya has more skill, but she spends so much time goofing off and not practicing and Koda uses it wisely to practice, causing him to be almost as good as her.
Kya and Ursa-
Kya and Ursa get along very well. Ursa knows that Kya and Lu Ten are very close, so she treats Kya with almost as much respect as she gives Lu Ten so that she appears like an angel to them. Although she treats Kya like this, Ursa has strong rage and jealousy built up inside her towards Kya. This is because Kya is older and second in line to become Fire Lord and also because Kya is so close to Lu Ten.
Koda and Ursa-
They are very competitive. Both of them want to seem like the perfect children and impress their parents, so they often argue about who's the better bender. Ursa is very manipulative and uses that to her advantages just like young Azula did to young Zuko.
The kids relationships to their parents:
Lu Ten and Zuko-
Zuko is very impressed with Lu Ten's skills at fire bending. He thinks Lu Ten is shaping up to be a great Fire Lord. Lu Ten admires his father for all that he's done and looks up to him as a role model. They are very close and Zuko makes sure to treat all his children equally. Zuko thinks Lu Ten is a mix between Katara and Iroh.
Kya and Zuko-
Kya often gets in trouble for goofing off, sneaking away to see her friends when she's not allowed to, talking back, practical jokes like that. Zuko loves Kya very much but he wishes she was more mature and responsible because if anything were to happen to Lu Ten, or if he decided he didn't want to take the role as Fire Lord, that job went to Kya.
Koda and Zuko-
Koda is very similar to Zuko in looks. He respects his father but sometimes gets into trouble because he often fights with Ursa.
Ursa and Zuko-
Zuko is worried that young Ursa is going to end up like Azula was, but he still loves her very much. She is Daddy's little girl and hardly ever steps out of line except when she fights with her siblings.
Lu Ten and Katara-
Katara sees much of herself in Lu Ten. He is serious and kind like herself, although she was more rambunctious then he was, she still sees the resemblance. She is close to her son and enjoys talking to him because he is so wise and kind.
Kya and Katara-
Kya and Katara are very close. There are many reasons for this.
1- Because Katara and Kya spend time together water bending.
2- Kya reminds Katara so much of Sokka in her personality. She enjoys being around her because of her fun loving personality.
3- Kya is very helpful and loves to help her mother with everything.
Kya admires her mother for all the things she has done in the past and wants to be just like her.
Koda and Katara-
Koda is very close to his mother and respects her. He treats her kindly and never does anything that makes her angry. He loves her so much and shows that all the time.
Katara and Ursa-
Ursa treats her mother kindly and is very close to her. Although they are worried for little Ursa, Katara is the only one she never lies to or tries to manipulate. Ursa looks up to her mother and loves her very much, unlike Azula and her mother's relationship.
